Join Me For Authenticity Office Hours Tomorrow, October 22nd to Discuss MONEY!
Tuesday 10/22 on Zoom from 5 - 6 PM PST / 8 - 9 EST
Hi everyone!
I created Authenticity Office Hours to have a space where we can come together and have open, authentic conversations centered around a range of topics.
Whether it’s an intimate group discussion, a big conversation, or a 1:1 conversation with you and me - I always walk away from these conversations with a strengthened sense of community, many lingering questions, and more often than not, a new perspective.
Subscribe to get a reminder before we dive in on Tuesday night.
This week is all about Authenticity and MONEY!
I included more prompts than usual because money is often hard to talk about. I wanted to give people lots of bouncing-off points for our discussion!
TLDR; The gist of this conversation will be, 'How do you feel, think, talk about, and use money?
How do you feel about money?
How did your upbringing influence your relationship with money? Are you holding onto any beliefs that still shape your financial habits, either positively or negatively?
How much of your sense of self-worth is tied to the amount of money in your bank account?
How do you think about money?
Do you think debt is always bad?
Do you ever find yourself judging the way that other people spend money?
What are your thoughts on the relationship between gender and money?
How do you talk about money?
Do you talk about money with friends at all? Do you avoid the topic altogether?
Do you talk openly with peers about salaries and industry standards
How could changing the way you talk about money improve your well-being?
How do you use money?
What do you consider a “good use of your money”?
How do you balance saving for the future with enjoying life in the present?
Are there particular strategies you use to stay authentic in your financial goals?
If you can’t make it this week - you can always join us next month!
Subscribe to receive the Wild Cozy Free Roundup at the start of November, where I’ll share the topics of the month + dates of discussions.
Also, if you can’t make it but have thoughts on these prompts (or even if you plan to join but already have thoughts simmering) share them in the comments! Can’t wait to hear what you’re thinking!
PS - It’s not required listening in order to come to Authenticity Office Hours, but I *highly recommend* listening to my interview with Melissa Mitt, which inspired this week’s topic of money!
PPS - Have you checked out my new substack, New Yorker Goes West? Would love to see you over there! I woke up to a brand new paid subscriber last week and it made my *whole* week :)
